What does it do?

Greengage Mobile (GGM) is a mobile event app. It has all your normal full event app tools and tricks but one major difference is that it has integrated Indoor Positioning System using beacon technology. And this is fantastic! Beacons offer the opportunity for attendees to maximise networking and our favourite interacting with the venue spaces: registering you without a queue on arrival and giving you personal notifications!

Who’s behind it?

The Live Group are based in Kingston just outside London. They offer a whole host of technologies for event planners and they still organise and deliver events and this, I am sure, helps them deliver event tech that is very useful for planners and their audiences.

How did it get here?

It was only a few years ago that we started using the GPS on our smartphones. The Live Group presumed that it was only a matter of time before people came to expect the same sort of thing indoors. So they put themselves to the task of making this happen at low cost to venues and event organisers. And Greengage Mobile was the result.

What does it look like?

Well, you need the demo app and the right space. They are keen to show it to planners and this is why they are on the road over the next few months. But here’s a link so you can get a feel for it.

Why is it the event tech of the week?

Well it’s Event Tech Live this week (on Thursday in London) and next week EIBTM takes place in Barcelona where incidentally you can come along to our #supereventprofsINT meetup. Green Gage are taking part at both those events. And it’s an opportunity for event profs to have a look at the app.
